Day 231 ~ Create a superhero & Day 232 ~ Do something with clouds.

Again, combining two days' projects, here is my idea of a superhero (Day 231), a Pegasus-like figure, painted with a cloud motif (Day 232).

The body was cut from 3/8" Baltic birch plywood on a band saw and jig saw. The legs are mimosa sticks and the mane and tail are grape vine. They were secured by drilling holes into the side of the body, whittling down the stick to fit snug, and applying wood glue before inserting the pieces. I used acrylic paint for the surface. It's 8" X 11".
